Which Contrabass ??

Can anyone guide me, which contrabass sounds among bests, never tested, but playing guitar for 17yrs. Il prefer 4/4 fully carved within $2,000-$2500. How ab't Ren Wei Shi Model 705 & Florea Carpathian Double Bass (Outfit ??). I have 2 available in India here Hofner AS 060 & 160 but 3/4 . Im looking for 1st time bt fully professional !

Those (to my knowledge) are "CCB's" in that price range I'd look at Hybrids from Christopher and Shen and see what Upton has.

Though I am new, but from what I hear around here, 4/4 doesn't seem to be the norm, and that 3/4 is usually recommended. Both for playing purposes and resale value. It's either 3/4 or 7/8 if you want to go abit larger.

Also, I think it's unlikely that you will find a quality fully carved at that price range? Unless you buy used I suppose. Even a Shen or Christopher fully carved will set you abit more than that. Maybe you can consider a hybrid? If I am not wrong the SB150, SB180 or the Christopher 300 hybrid basses are considered good value.
