From this serial number, would anyone on this forum know what year it would have been manufactured? My wife stole...uuuuhhhhmmmmm bought it used.

I'm dating my bass too just don't tell my girlfriend, she's the jealous type.

Is that why they call it a "Double" date?

The most accurate, most helpful, least interesting answer.

Since being laid off from Orchestra London, I really need a date with my bass! Being a working stiff is sooo boring.

But seriously, here's what is on Bob Gollihur's site: http://www.gollihurmusic.com/results...tList.cfm?m=19

So, it's less that 45 years old.

I'm betting the preferred one is treble side, near the soundpost. Seems more wild on that side.
