DB in Naples/Ft. Myers, FL

Would like to rent a double bass in the Naples/Fort Myers, FL area from an TBDBer or a reputable shop.

It would be lovingly played, handled, and looked after by me personally at this show on Jan.16 & 17. It's so hard to fly w/ a DB these days and I really rather not use an EUB for this trip. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Brian Glassman and The Johnny Rodgers Band

Now see there is a gig you need to send a sub to. Like a fat cold midwesterner with a taste for Key Lime Pie. You won't have to worry about that bass thing at all then.

You had your fun in the sun, Pieboy. Besides I don't think we'll have time enough for even a dip in the pool .

I feel like sending a sub, now. Look at what I just noticed on their website. This is what they have planned for us to do on our "morning off". Nobody discussed it w/ us...

Johnny Rodgers & Brian Lane Green "Talk Back" featuring the Johnny Rodgers Band:
Join these sensational musicians/performers, straight from Broadway, in a not to be missed interactive "talk back" about singing & instrumentation, hear them perform a little and give a behind the scenes look at "putting on a show".
Saturday January 17th, 2009 11:00AM-12:00PM
Cost: $20 for adults and $10 for students

Hi Brian,

I've got a couple of basses that you could use. One is a Meisel laminate and the other is a carved Sunrise Del Mar. Both are strung with Spiro Weichs. I am about 30 miles east of Fort Myers on SR80. Send me a PM if you are interested. These basses are certainly not Prescotts, but should get the job done

Hey I'm thankful and humbled by ANY gig date that has a prefix of Jan. or Feb. in front of it, but I'd certainly trade 'em for a Hawaiin cruise any day.

Jim, THNX!! I'm sending you a PM,
BG
