| Different scales/sizes?
I just started on double bass, and my grandpa started asking me about it, and he asked me how younger students start on sucha huge instrument, so I answered (and I assume) that they start on smaller scale basses like 1/4 etc. And he asked how many different sizes/scales there were, and I didn't know what to answer. He's probably forgotten already, but the question stuck in my head? Any help with this?
