ah! funny!
I've been looking for this website for a while...
I have the Fantasia model. I love it!
Louis Fantasia was working with these guys a few years back. You can ask him directly.
Mine is a pretty sweet bass.

STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There is a very long story, which, ultimately very disappointing - they csme to me after one of their reps heard about or saw my show. They asked me to endorse their basses, sent me a VERY good bass to use; sponsored bass competitons where they gave some pretty good basses away as prizes etc;

It was all a scam -- were owned by Samjin music, a big Korean conglomerate; and basically did a bait and switch - after the good basses came the junk - green wood, poorly set necks, etc; and a family squabble back in Korean that ended up with one of the family (David Min) being fired (and possible criminally charged).

I was left to clean up a large mess here - which I did by selling some of the better basses to cover my losses (paying their California Franchise tax bill for one!) and donating the other basses to schools and youth orchestra.

Universal Music (a Korean company) now sells the Korean basses to Jim Laabs and others and they ARE trying to improve quality issues (see other threads I've done on these basses).

The real SHAME is that their quality basses were really pretty good and they just shot themselves in the foot with the bait and switch. It's a real shame - and a real lesson.

If Linear is really still in business, I repeat -- STAY AWAY

You, a bass player here and one in TX (both TBers who I won't name) got the three best basses (including my own). That's the real shame of the who saga - they actually made really good basses!

Enjoy it -- all the bad mojo was blown off the bass before it was sent!

AH! even if you said I had a bad one I would still love my bass! :-)
people ask me a lot about it, so I made a few youtube videos with my Fantasia 3/4 so they can check it out.
I've done a lot of recordings with it and everyone that plays that bass really loves.
Thank you Louis!!!

Well, that was the rub in a nutshell - they had the capacity and skill to make very good basses, which I was prepared to endorse, and then CHOSE to ship junk out from their factory... Oh well ... I'm glad there was some good that came out of it for players like you and for the students and schools that got the free basses.
