Double Bass Needed for Musical in UK, not to play

As well as being a bass guitarist, I am also very active in local theatre and am directing a production of 'Buddy, The Buddy Holly story' in October of this year in Milton Keynes. we really need to track down a double bass for use on stage, now this bass would be a dummy to be danced with, so we are looking for a broken or in poor repair bass that we can fix up so it looks ok but doesn't have to play. It is a local amature group so whilst we could pay a bit, we are not looking to spend too much money.
Any help would be gratefully received.

have you looked at ebay?

theres this guy in cork he'll ship this £200 bass anywhere in Ireland UK

there's one or two others there as well
