Double Bass Retailer in Northern New England

Good Morning Members,
I'm writing from Centeral Vermont. I plan to buy a new Double Bass, but there are no retailers with inventory in my region, or the state it appears.
Can you direct me to a retailer with inventory in NH? Mass? NY?
Thank you

Allan

Volker Nahrmann is very highly spoken of. I haven't visited his shop myself, but he's very willing to communicate by phone and email, and his website is good:

Isn't Metropolitan Music located in Stowe? They offer the new "Juzek" and Wilfer basses. Wilfers appear on their web-site but with very little information. While doing some research on Juzek, I thought I sam a post here (or on KSB's forum) stating that they also offer new "Juzek" branded basses (made in China??).

Hi Allan, Be sure to check out Volker Nahrmann. He's old school German workmanship is unmatched -- and reasonable! He apprenticed with famous bass makers in Germany. The Best! He even restored very rare Vermont Basses, such as Woodbury & Burditt of Brattleboro. He's busy, you'll need an appointment. Below are photos of 1) the rare Woodbury & Burditt; 2) my 1820 Prescott restored by Volker.
