Actually, I would prefer it if they called the 'Basses' forum on the other side 'Bass Guitars'. It would really clear up the confusion.

I just love telling people that call my instrument a cello that it is actually a Bull Fiddle. Talk about looks of total confusion. Priceless.

You have my vote.

I've heard them called "Bass Fiddle" before, suppose that would clear confusion up too? lol

I think that Dave's comment was referring to the "TOOL rools, dood" comment.

BTW... I told someone that I recently picked up a double bass, and they immediately asked what size heads it had. I thought they meant tuners at first, then realized what they meant...
