E & A string volume

Hello, everyone. What seems to be the issue if the D & G strings sound crisp and with good volume, but the E & A strings sound dampened and the volume is low?

Thanks in advance.

A visit to your luthier is more than necessary. Probably a soundpost adjustment towards the E string f hole will enhance the D and G strings, plus whatever else your luthier knows.

Moving the sounpost towards the G string f hole gives a better sound to the E and A strings because it allows the bass bar to resonate much better. All these soundpost tweakings performed by a qualified luthier can find the optimum sound for your bass.

Well, i use to find more troubles with A strings, and in the stagg topic i read some people have the same problem with the A string in an electric instrument.
Is that common? Or just my imagination that A strings are problematic?
thanks

Basses are more problematic than strings, IMO.

Yes, probably a sound post adjustment issue. What kinda strings do you have on your bass?

well, i am talking about basses of the schooll, they had very old strings when i started, so i dunno the brand of the old strings, last year they changed them, for Korean strings, really bad.
Bad, i mean, why allways the A string?
Is kind like a bow problem, i bow and the strings doesn't sound constanly, it stops, and sounds over in one bow move. Did anyone have that problem again?
and if is a sound post problem, why is present in the baby bass?
i mean, i read about it in other topics.

Fixed the issue by checking the bridge height on the E & A side.
Bridge top was curved to optimum, and now the bass sounds balanced across all strings.

Thanks y'all!
