Need more guidance from you first. Is this Bass for you or someone else? If you, what is your price range and what type of music do you play? Many other factors aside, I recommend you take a look at the newbie links which may answer a lot of your questions.
fill out your profile, and check back in after you've read through the links, okay? (BTW they are at the top of this forum)

This info is for my husband, who mostly plays swing as well as 40's and 50's classic country. He also has considered the Gentleman Jazz 7/8 E. Wilford. Quite a bundle and he's not sure which would be best for his nest egg.

Question Wilfer Model 13?

I have a Wilfer Solo which is the equivalent to the model 15 and it is a great instrument. Before that, I have had a model 11. The Solo is much better than the 11 and I guess the 13 must be in between. Both are well made but the model 11 was heavier and not as resonant as the Solo. So I guess it’s difficult to make a decision without a try. I have seen and played several Wilfers but each of them was different.

I do not know the LaScala because they are not known here in Europe …
