I've got an EM-1 and love it... but I'm a newbie on URB.

I have an EM-1B (blonde) and love mine. But, the setup has much to do with it. I've played some new Englehardts that I wouldn't want to use. If one is set up properly, it's a good bass. There are other brands, however, that are in the same price range and are also very good. (Shen, for example.)

I love my ES9. But you'll have to have it setup by somebody that knows what they're doing.

I had a Es-9 Swingmaster for 6 years now and it gets better every year. Last summer I made some changes that had it reviling my friends old 49 Kay.

My good friend "Slick" Joe Fick uses his Swingmaster in truly incredible ways!

... Joe tells me he replaces his about every two years, you just have to see "The Dempseys" live to see why
