Found It!!!

In response to my last post "knowing when its right", I now know. Is a fully carved romanian imported by Shanks Strings in 2005. It has a spruce top and maple back and ribs. It sounds amazing with Bel Canto strings on it. The easiest playing bass that i have ever played. No more excuses for my playing.

Amusingly enough, my Romanian "Calin Wultur" looks like it could have been made in the same mold, and I had a similar reaction when I first played it. I don't have those nice hat pegs, though.

I'm a suckerfor hat peg tuners. I found it pretty quickly actually... only took about a month.

I have a Calin Wultur too, and it's a big-sounding bass. Although it's been supplanted, recently I've been missing it. I haven't loved every Romanian bass I've played, but many of them are very nice.
