I'm wondering how in tune those frets are, since the bridge does not appear to be adjusted for compensation.

while a tip-exx pen costs you 1$ and you can erase it afterwards

why the hell would you put frets on a DB anyway?

Is that a big guitar or a cello?
Go find those forums, but it doesn't belong here.

Dots what I do

I put the dots on my fingernails - that way I never miss!

Seriously, though, I can 'feel' the nodal points at the octave and in third position. Those are the harmonics you use to tune.

As I am shifting those points are just 'there' to remind me where I am. My teacher used to stop me in the middle of an exercise and make me compare my stopped notes to the nearest available harmonics - or an open string. He was developing my ear, of course, as well as my 'find the note' skills. Especially under the bow, though, those points along the string feel different.

I even find this helpful on those rare occasions when I play BG.
