It was neat to be on the same set with these actors but the amount of standing around waiting, doing nothing for 8+ hours doesn't interest me so I doubt I'll do it again. ...and we had to fake play because the set was mic'd. |

The extras did not make out so well. | Yeah as musicians on the shoot we got what's called in the industry a "bump" extra money for providing our instruments. It's an interesting industry or should I say union. It's very strong. If you work overtime you get paid, if you have to smoke in a scene you get paid extra, if your lunch isn't served within X hours, you get paid more. The musician's union isn't nearly as strong. And I noticed that they estimated a little extra time on our timesheet for the time it takes to get to our car from the set, in a way very civilized. But the standing around was ridiculous, should've brought that Tolstoy book  |
