Gamba

I have become interested in 7 String Viola da Gambas. Not a double bass, but I have met some DB players who play the gamba. If I remember correctly, James Lambert of the Cincinnati Symphony plays the gamba and even played at the ISB convention in ~1995.

So, anyone else double? What are some reasonably priced, quality gambas?
