Gewa vs. Thomann (strunal?)

Hey TB'ers,

It's been a while since I've been here. I sold my DB for money reasons.

I miss the damn thing, so now I'm looking for a cheap bass. I live in Belgium and I was looking for a bass that costs about 1000euro.

I've been looking at Gewa basses. I can get a discount on this basses. I've also been looking at the Thomann basses. I've read somewhere that some of their basses are strunals. Can Anybody confirm this?

What do you think would be the best buy at this budget?

Thanks,

Cigi

Hey Cigi
send a mail to STRUNAL (www.strunal.cz) and ask for prices. In your price range is the hybrid 5/27, a good instrument for the money. If you can afford a bit more, the 5/5 or the 5/6 flatback is a fully carved, decent bass in a reasonable price. The difference between the 5/5 and 5/6 models is the flame in the back and the loft seasoned top (both in higher quality in the 5/6 models).
Thommann sells the STRUNALS under the Thommann 1,2,3,4,5 codes. They are more expencive than buying directly from Strunal.
Good luck.
Mike
