Good price for Karl Knilling Bucharest from 1980?

Greetings-

Saw this bass listed locally.
It sounds like their new instruments are made in Korea, but this one is 30 years old, so I'm not sure what that means. All the information I've been able to find has been about newer instruments.

It's carved and in excellent condition, ebony finger board and tail piece. $1300 sound like a good deal?

Haha, of course.

I just thought I'd look for some general info about this company's basses first as I'm not familiar with them and the only info I've been able to find seems to indicate that their quality can vary pretty widely.

I searched Knilling Bucharest on the forum. It seems the consensus is stay away from the Korean made, but the older models are decent, or can be tweaked to be decent.
