What's this G.A.S. thing all about? What's it stand for? I'm sure I'll feel really stupid when I hear the answer.... I tried searching but the search engine ignores words of 3 letter or less, and doesn't count periods.

Well, yeah... in Walter's case it's Guitar Acquisition Syndrome, and he's got a bunch of them. He used to have a lot of them in his Maui studio, all strewn about, and lots of basses (slabs) too. He may have fewer since his divorce...

Here at TBDB, it's Gear Acquistion Syndrome... could be double basses, amps, bows, recording gear, or my own personal Achilles' Heel, strings.

That's great! I really don't have it either, outside of my desire for the Holy Grail of strings. And I could fix that by ordering a new set of Olivs.
