Gotz Carved-top Bass - any info?

Greetings DB Forum folk, I am new to this (or any)forum so I hope that this posting works / is done properly. After renting a DB for 1.5 years I'm ready to purchase. I've been researching new Christophers, Englehardts, and Strunals, mainly through the net, but also have a chance at a carved top Gotz bass. Can anyone provide information on this maker? I've found lots of references to Gotz endpins, but not a DB. Any help would be appreciated!

Gotz sells instruments and parts made in shops in Germany. In general the quality is good, though I've not encountered a Gotz bass. Typically, German brands are manufactured by independent shops, then finished and labeled by the seller. The Gotz name is strong and they have a good rep.
