Have you seen this bass before?

I have this painted aluminum bass.
The person i got it from thought that perhaps it was painted in Texas.
It has the letters "R.O." in the belt buckle.
any info greatly appreciated.

I Think I Feel a Song Coming On

Woody's Roundup
Right here every day
Woody's Roundup
come on, it's time to play
There's Jessie, the yodeling cowgirl
(yo-de-la, you-de-la, yo-de-la)
Bullseye, he's woody's horse
(grrr...he's a smart one)
Pete the old prospector
and Woody the man himself
of course
It's time for Woody's Roundup
He's the very best
He's the rootinest tootinest cowboy
in the wild wild west

"There's a snake in my boot!"

Awesome bass. I'd love to show up at a symphony audition with that one.

"Is there a snake in your boot?" was code at my house for "do you need your diaper changed?"

Seriously, that's my idea of how a bass should be painted!! Very cool. Reminds of my old first slab bass -- stolen from me decades ago. It was an old Fender P-bass, but somebody had painted on the back a wonderful old Mr. Natural cartoon in glorious colour -- belt buckles banned with that bass. Hey -- maybe somebody out there has seen it! It's mine -- I probably still have the bill of sale.

I can say, too, that with the way that Indian caricature looks, it very likely didn't come from Canada. Take that into a bar anywhere in the Canadian west and there's a good chance you're gonna catch some opinions you won't want to catch. You might catch these opinions with your face.
