Help for double bass

Hello!
I take 2-3 lessons for settings(bow and hold the bass.)
Can I continue the study alone?
Does anyone know a good way(method) for beginner?

Thanks

Alberto

It wouldn't be favorable but I would ask your teacher how to continue, Simandl is a pretty good method that is widely accepted for beginers.
