Help Late 70's Englehart Price?

Hi,
I am looking for an approximate value of a late 70's Englehart bass. It was purchased new for Aprox 700-800$. It has a few dings in the body and is missing the post on the bottom.
Any help would be great.
Thanks

Thanks for the reply I should have mentioned I am looking to buy this bass. So I can't get pics of it. Is it possible to give an approximate value without the pics?

I wouldn't pay more than $1k, for sure. $6-700 sounds reasonable if it's in acceptable shape.

Ebay Bass?

Chris F72,

Is this an Ebay bass? If you don't know what to look for, you could be in a world of hurt for the repair bills on this one compard to the resale value when you are all done. Get some help from someone who knows a little about basses.

Let us know how it turns out!

Yes, anywhere between $0.50 and about $1100. Really, without any pictures and/or detailed description it can be a nice supply of firewood, a planter, a decoration, or a playable bass.

Thanks for the help. A friend has this bass he is the original owner and is unsure of what to ask for it. I will get pics from him. I have played this bass and it is in fine playable condition it's just been lugged around to bluegrass festivals for a few years but other than a few dings it's fine.
Thanks again
