Help With Potential Juzek Purchase

Thanks for the response. That's really quite helpful, and the closest thing to an apples to apples comparison that's possible based on the limited info and lack of pictures on my end.

As a follow-up, I went back to check out the Juzek again over the weekend. The shop owner was not in the least bit knowledgeable about it, and said he'd "do his best" when it came to setting the bass up -- not exactly swarming with confidence.

I decided to shop around and play some other basses to really get a feel for whether the Juzek is one. I want to pursue If so, it's likely to be the subject of some pretty aggressive negotiations on my part, considering the amount of work and additional expense I'll need to have put into the bass elsewhere.

Yup, I did mean $1200. I am still playing the plywood. I'm getting a new bass in a few months.
