Help Selling DB

Hey everyone!

I am having a hard time selling a great double bass of mine. The bass is an Eastman 605, which is a great quality bass, built in China. The catch is that here in Toronto all the stores are resisiting the outbreak of chinese basses, so I'm having a hard time getting the word out. I've tried Kijiji, and Craigslist... Ebay seems like it'd be a waste of time (what do you think??).

I paid $6100 for this bass, and would sell it right now for $4500...but I just can't find a way to get people's attention. What would you do?

I know someone who sold his bass, asking price $8500, through Ebay pretty quickly. Why not give it a try? I'm sure a bass shop would put it on consignment for you, what do they have to lose? Let the local bass teachers know it's for sale, too. You can advertise in the ISB and Gollihur Music classifieds, too. Good Luck!

Are you a member of ISB?- if so put it on there- I think that it still cost $25 for as long as it takes. Maybe a consignment down in NY would be a good idea. Good luck.
