Horror Story

Caution: Thread may contain information that is disturbing to some viewers.

Today was one of my last classes before my exams start, and the period was to be dedicated for individual practicing. I arrived in class to see in the line of basses that my school owns, my particular bass (still owned by the school - not my personal bass) was missing.

Thinking it was just with another student, I asked the teacher where it may be. To my horror, it's currently laying on its side in the back room with a broken scroll and a cracked fingerboard.

Apparently, some unsupervised students were horsing around near the basses, knocking it out of place and causing the entire top of the scroll to break off leaving more or less just the tuning mechanisms behind. And in the process, the fingerboard separated from the neck and cracked straight down the middle.

It's really the only bass that my school owns that has a pretty even playing quality to it as well.

And believe me, if I ever find out who is responsible there may be an accident involving a bow.
