How does this look for a start up bass?

I heard that englehardts at decent, and I am not out of high school yet so I can't pay much but would any of you guys give me some input on this bass?

From what I've heard, Englehardts are good start up basses. Just look up Engelhardt in this forum you can't go wrong.

Since you're in NY have you checked out Ideal music in NYC http://www.bassesonline.com
They have some good basses too.

At the risk of sending Mike running for the hills, and in anticipation of Drurb chiming in, you should check out the upton laminates. I think they might be a notch up from the englehardt for not much more money, plus they'll ship it for free, so it's about the same price. If you go up there to get it you'll pay connecticut tax. Definitely check out ideal as well. They have some very good deals on plywoods. you might have to figure a couple hundered more for a complete setup an outside luthier, but in the end your get a good value(probably cheaper than either mention above).

Englehardts are OK but I think you can do better for the money. Shen or Upton.

+1 to upton laminates they are awesome basses and awesome set up basses.
