So that I know it will fit in my car (ford fiesta) when I pick it up. If it helps here's a pic and its similiar in model to and estman 605. Im guessing its a bit over the 5 foot mark.

"Bout 82", I have yet to see a car that I cant work a bass into....even
if it is a little crazy!"
Worst case scenario is the bass goes in the front passenger seat, with the seat all the way back & reclined. |

Im holding a measuring tape standing up in front of me and it really towers above me. Is 82" with the endpin full extended? I'll probably have mine pushed in as far as it can go

You should always push in the endpin before you even attempt to put it in the car. I usually put it in the back seat and let the neck come to the front. It's uncomfortable riding in the car afterwards, but depending on the size of your car, it's not that bad. When I get a car, I'll probably just get a van. |

Good thing is, one end is very skinny. If worse comes to worse, you can ask DrJones for a picture of his in his car. One of these may help: |

Anyway its going to be small 1 litre cars until I have a full drivers license and a full time career and over 25. Just because of the sheer price of insurance.

Get a Volvo wagon. | That may be only true in the US. Some of the coolest vehicles I ever saw were the little microvans zipping around Tokyo's streets last week. |
