| Hunting for a new bass Hi Everyone-
I've played electric bass for a long time, and over the years I've played upright on and off throughout high school, but now that I'm in college (majoring in trombone) I finally want to buy my own upright. I currently have a Dean upright electric, but I want to work on my bow technique and get into some more classical playing so the Dean isn't going to cut it. Can anybody offer any suggestions as to what I ought to be looking for? So far I've been looking at a lot of used instruments, and I think that's where I would be looking to buy, both to get a battle tested instrument and also to buy from someone with experience. I've seen a lot of Kays and Englehardts, and they seem like pretty decent instruments, but I'm just not sure about exactly what I'm looking at. Any advice or suggestions anyone can give me would be a huge help to the search. Thanks for the help!
