I Bought This:

I went to Atlantic Strings in Melbourne, Florida yesterday and bought a fully carved Keith, Curtis, and Clifton Romanian bass. The thing is a pure cannon. I can't believe I own a fully carved bass. Here's a few pictures:

Wow! Very nice. I've been to Atlantic strings a couple of times. I think I could live in there, the place is full of amazing instruments. Congratulations.

That looks like some top quality materials, workmanship, and a finish to show them off. Real sweet.

Are you planning to add adjusters to the bridge? I've found that I don't really need those and my bass is carved also. I certainly prefer the look without them, but I do understand sometimes it is a practical matter to have them put on. You might want to leave it clean for a season and see if you really need them.

i agree with the cleanliness and the look. i feel if you are comfortable with the setup you receive then bridge adjusters aren't particularly necessary. But as for me i'm constantly experimenting with the way i play and that involves changing string height, so it'd be a hassle without it.

great looking bass. enjoy it

Thanks to all for your comments and support. I have no plans to add adjusters. I am very comfortable with the setup. It's very close to my Engelhardt setup. I play primarily bluegrass and do a little slapping every once in a great while, and it's setup just right for that. This bass is already very loud from the G to the E string. I can only imagine how it will sound as it opens up.
