I Feel So Fortunate/Lucky ,,Two Great New Basses

I resently got not one but spectacular instruments. First is a double bass that I bought as a fixer upper in Portland Or 3 years ago.Its a true 5/8ths carved bass 40 1/4 string length turn of th century factory made bass.

I've been dumping money money into bringing to Boston and having work done on it. Finnaly the final set up was done last night.

This thing Rules! its still openning up but its got a wonderful tone for a instrument of its size and it speaks fast! Wich means its easier to relax as you play it.

The second bass is a Sadowsky Tokyo that was advertised hear on TB

Funny history with this is I was the second guy to contact a seller off of bassgear.com about to years or so ago. I just missed buying this bass then. Our own Adrian Garcia had beaten me to it.When he kept it for a while and posted about how great it was I knew I missed a nice bass.

Well 3 weeks ago Gruuv posted it for sale and I was Lucky enough to cue up first!

Nice,Nice bass. Full Size Jazz Body.Traditional look. Great B string. Again that kind of evne quick reponse that encourages you to relax.

I can't believe it, I feel very fortunate to be able to make this happen and very lucky to come out this way.

They both look nice. I think it's cool to have a smaller bass for jazz. They're easier to play and easier to carry around and plus you're gonna be playing it through an amp anyway so it doesn't need to be a cannon acoustically.
I really like the Sadowsky. The blocks on maple are nice. Also, I am thinking about getting a similar pickguard for my black P-bass.
