Exclamation i need upright info

so i need a double bass for school now cuz suddenly there is a flood of bassists and i have no idea what to buy,i dont need anything remarkable it just needs to work,any suggestions?

You might try the [DB] side of TalkBass...

When I joined orchestra, we had the option of renting basses from local music stores for home practice...I'd check around and see what they offer. They were crappy plywood basses, but better than nothing. A few student models have been popping up on my local Craigslist...

Sorry man, your in the wrong forum. The DB (double bass) forum pertains specifically to those who play and/or are interested in the double bass. They could answer you questions far more accurately.

yeah, the DB section, though i will say that i have an englehardt em1, which i purchased for the school band, and it works great! we had to get it set up i think, but other than that, no problems at all!
