Hi Mattew ,
The ribs are both in only one piece and maiden of nut wood .
The top ,as you see in the first photo , is in 3 pieces , look at the different wood .
I don't know if it was like that from the begining or if someone made a repair later .
As you see , there are lines as old breakings now all restored .
To be 300 years old , more or less , it is ok and when I play it the sound is clear and with no strange vibrations .
