I'm back

I played upright in high school and early college - I was a music major, but had to drop out after losing a battle with a nasty case of tendinitis.

After a 20ish year hiatus (during which I have played electric bass on and off), I decided to give upright another try. This week, I received my wonderful Thompson bass from Steve at the String Emporium.

Here's a picture of me about 2 minutes after taking it out of the shipping box. I look like a kid at Christmas.

Now, to learn how to play the darn thing again ...

Welcome back! You have a pretty nice looking bass there! I know that the String Emporium has a very good reputation. I would recommend you get a teacher though. If only just to get you back into the swing of things.
