Question Info, please . . .

. . . is anyone out there familiar with Meisel Basses ? . . . more specifically, their laminate model 7000, please? Is it Chinese ?

Does any one play one and/or know anyone else that does ?

Thanks,

Meisel has been around for years. I can't tell you if they've gone Chinese or not. I've seen some decent Meisel carved basses, but pretty rarley.

I have had a Meisel 8900 for the last 13 years or so. I'm not familiar with the 7000, but the 8900 appears to be a top quality laminate. Meisel actually has a very good reputation.

I had a laminate Meisel that I used for many gigs and recording sessions. It was a great player, great sound, nice fingerboard. I actually wish I still had it.
