Info on Scherl & Roth Bass

Recently answered an ad on craigslist for a 3/4 size bass with a broken neck. Seller had no idea what she had... listed it as having a beautiful cherry finish with broken neck, and that was it. I spoke with the seller and was told that someone fell on it and snapped the neck off. Asked about brand and was told she had no idea. I encouraged her to ck for labels, etc., etc. so as to weed out her responses. The next day she listed it as a Scherl & Roth. Turns out the neck popped off the body in such a clean manner as not to disturb any of the surrounding wood, or finish. Bought it, fixed it, and love it. It draws quite a bit of attention amongst Bluegrass pickers who play bass and have had offers to buy, but I can't seem to find a value for it. The model is R604E3 and the serial no. is 7208505. It is dated 12/01.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Probably won't sell it, but need a value for insurance. Thank you

Bring it to a bass luthier. Where are you? Maybe someone can give you a referral.

We actually have a highly respected guy here. I have an appointment later this week to have him appraise it. When I posted it was at the end of a several hour search for any info on my particular model....just to have an idea what to expect. I appreciate the replies and the link. I'm in central North Carolina...
