Bend the knees slightly to relieve pressure from the base of your spine and square up your hips. Think about how you stand when you swing a bat or golf club and that is the way to stand to play the upright. You should be able to swivel your hips when you play......
In picture four you're all bent and about to enter a world of pain.

I have a screwed up back, genetic stuff and too much lifting, etc. This is how I play. Pressure off the lower back. Stay relaxed.
Indeed, a fine bass. |

Nice Bass! I have the carved version and to me, it's the most beautiful bass shape. |

Think about how you stand when you swing a bat or golf club ...... | Not a good analogy, you don't stand up straight when you swing a bat or a golf club, you bend forward from the waist. If you stand up straight, you won't hit the ball very far (or very well) even if you do have your knees bent slightly. Nice bass.

Otherwise, nice bass. | Low? From the pix, it seems to be right between the inner f-hole notches. No?

| | | well... because it's mine.
Due to the tropical humid climate and my almost exclusively student-pizzicato technique, I was looking for an useful, resistant, valuable and beautiful laminated bass. Luckily it sounds good too.
Compared with all plywood basses I've heard/played, this is the hard-loudest and is on the lighter overall weight side. This LaScala bass of course got the Arnold's quality construction expertise & setup
with High-end KC tuners, graphite reinforcement and the Wil' Signature Antiqued varnish touch! I can say it's an unique bass for me.
