Lightbulb Japanese basses, anyone?

Hi, Does anybody know anything about the basses sold under the lable "Cremona Stringed Instrument Mfg., Tokyo, Japan", probably in the sixties or seventies (but maybe before or after)? Who built them, quality, reputation etc.
I recently bought a hybrid with this lable as I would like to broaden my scope, (from bass guitar), and I would very much appreciate any input or opinions from those of you with greater experience than me.
The dealer who sold it to me could only tell me that this was only the second one that he had seen in the past ten years.

Yamaha has a shop that manufactures under the Cremona name... but I don't see and current info for basses... only violins, violas and cellos.
But they might have done basses too... years ago.
