is this the Juzek he played?

I found this picture and despite the presence of a young Matt Garrison, this bass looks freaking huge! Is it a full-size bass or is it a joke? This bass absolutely towers next to Jimmy. Is this a Juzek?

I think that picture has been posted and discussed before. If I remember correctly, the consensus was that the camera angle made it seem that way, and it is indeed a "regular" sized bass.

You're a man after my own heart Troy - those are very cool pants! I've been trying to get the guys in my band to wear these: http://ca.loudmouthgolf.com/media/ca...tooth-back.jpg

I got to play that bass for a few minutes, in Traeger's shop in NY, once, maybe 1979. I was having some setup work done by Bill Merchant. Bill asked me if I wanted to check out the bass that Jimmy Garrison had played. Who would pass that up?

Of course, I was blown away that it was "the bass" present at so much heavy, otherworldly music, but I do not remember the instrument itself as being particularly memorable, in terms of sound, volume, tone, or setup. Dark finish, not particularly large, as I recall (but I was personally playing a 7/8's with a 44" string length at that point, so who knows?).
