Kay?

My bass is from the 1950's or 40's, it has no name of the maker inside, but it has machine plates made in Chicago. It is it likely to be a Kay?

Thin neck? Glued-on volutes on the scroll? Extra strips along the ribs? These are a few Kay traits but if you will post some pictures someone can probably help you.

kluson made Kay tuners. I think they were in Ohio ?

You nailed all the characteristics. I found out its a Kay. It's from the fifties. It's the C-1 model, are those any good for jazz? some told me it was a beater........
