Play it first, remember the economy. Don't be afraid to low ball. That price is fair, it looks to be in pretty decent shape.

What music do you plan to play with it?

You can get a fairly nice new bass for those $.

I'd say that price is very fair. The bass seems to be in very good condition.

Yeah, but I wouldn't buy any bass without a thorough inspection by a bass luthier or someone who knows how to check for internal issues like loose bass bars.
