Kolstein Shop bass question

I found a local bassist with a Kolstein bass for sale. Gamba, dark varnish, fully carved. It looks very much like the shop bass on his website, but with a darker finish.

Assuming this is the Shop bass, does anyone know what these typically go for? Did they ever make any "cheap" models? He is asking what I think is a very good price, but I want to make sure before I bought.

They have some basses that are "Kolstein" basses that run for about $7K. These basses are partially made in his Baldwin shop and partially make in eastern europe somewhere. I own one as a college student and its a great instrument for what im doin and im sure it will be fine for what you hope to do. Hope you enjoy.
