Question Kydd Basses

Has anyone tried the Kydd basses in an arco mode? I'm curious as to how they bow.

I'm thinking about the piccalo version, which I head is tuned an octave higher. I'd like to use to play "cello" parts at our church (in the past I had put a high C string on an upright, but the accoustics in the church are so bad that I need to amp what ever I play).

Thanks for your comments.

Regards, Brian

Hi,
I have a Kydd 6 string carry-on,the tune form low to high is : B.E.A.D.G.C,and I use a cello bow for arco due to the space between the string is smaller than 4 string bass.It sound good, but need a preamp to get a more nice tone .I think maybe use TI string can make it better, but now I use la bella black nylon on it .It sounds very like DUB,but can't bow.
