Laptop upright?

Check this thing out! It is from a band called Turin Brakes. It looks kinda like a solid body baby bass. Weird, but interesting. What scale length do you think it could be? If I had to float a guess, I would say it is a one-off instrument.

After the gas tank bass I looked at the thread title and expected to see something made out of old iBooks and Thinkpads.

it doesn't look hollow

The picture is kind of fuzzy, but it's possible that it is a solid slab instrument or a very thin (a la es335) hollow or semihollow.

Now that I look at it closer, I think you guys might be right. It does look like a slab of some sort. Maybe we can create a category in and of itself for it: EAOTLUB (electric angled-off-the-leg upright bass).
