Late 40's early 50's Kaye full size

I have the opportunity to purchase a Kaye that is in excellent condition with its hard case. This thing looks practically brand new and was used overseas in a USO tour with Bob Hope. Whats a good estimate on a price on this beauty?

It depends on the local market. I'd say at least $1700. I saw one sell on ebay for more than $3,000 last year.
The S models are worth more than the Ms and the Ms more than the Cs.
Is the hard case an anvil type or a fiberglass trunk? A flight case has value as well.

Thanks for help on this. It has a hard plastic case that it has lived in all/most of its life. I'll get the serial number and check it out, thanks!

Sorry to highjack the thread, but I was surfing last night and found an S9 at Elder Instruments for 1800. A little rough w/doweled neck block but will make someone a nice bass I bet.
