Laurel Model 232 German upright bass

Anyone know what this might be worth?.. I'm a guitar player but picked this up on lunch today.. it has no separation issues, misalignment issues, and all the arches are right. Nice flame on sides, back, neck

Couple of grand. Nice bass. I have something similar, labeled Anton Schroetter. The story I got is that they were made by Hofner and sold under many makers' names.

hmm.. well I guess $500 out the door at the pawn shop was a good "gut" call on my part.. I was just hoping it was worth more than what I paid
