Leaving the Bass at Home, in the bag or out???

Hi,

I am about to go on a road trip and will be leaving my bass at home I will be gone for two weeks all up, and I am just wondering if I should leave it in it's bag or out?

It is a ply bass, and at the moment here, it is cold at night and warmish in the day. Sometimes when I take the bass out of the bag there is condensation on it. (only a really small amount).

What should I do? Should I put some silica gel in with the bass or something similiar?

Thanks

A lot of people on the forum here wouldn't be familiar with the climate at Lismore.

You shouldn't be experiencing wild changes in humidity at this time of year. The main problem with basses is going from sub-zero temperatures (and near zero humidity) into a heated house, or vice versa.

Being a ply bass it will be relatively stable and should be fine out of the case with no need for silica or other precautions.

Cheers

Mid north coast really isnt that bad with weather. Minus floods bushfires etc. Just keep your bass away from that

Its not even going to matter that much whether its in a bag or not, theyre not airtight.

OK, thanks guys, I sort of figured it would be fine either way, just thought I'd check.

Thanks again.
