Man, avoid it. Trust me. I had a hard time not laughing at that description... Super thin neck = bad hand technique and pain, Loud all over = zero tone control. I know you are excited, but please listen. Save your money, try some basses, there is no rush.

I was over at KC Strings today for some repair work and noticed one of these basses in the rack. Then it came back to me. That thing has been there for at least three years and apparently nobody wants it even at $700.
It's the only bass you will ever see with a piece of angle iron between the five piece neck and fingerboard. I doubt it will ever warp or bow! The fingerboard is dyed hardwood.
The top has that 'dolphin' curve to it at the top end of each bass bar. There is a soundpost to the inside of the treble side bar FWIW.
Actually, the thing plays pretty well and has a loud booming tone. The D string is at least twice as loud as the G though. So much for an even tone, unlike those 'orchestra' basses.
Personally, I'd take the $900 Kay next to it and pass on it.

liljawn, I played that bass. It has a screw through the fingerboard that attaches to a truss rod.
