Looking for cheap Upright Bass.

Hey everyone,

I'm Mark, and i'm from the EB side of the fourm
I am applying to a university this year, which doesn't have an electric bass program. Only classical, therefore, I need an upright bass.

I HAVE played upright, i need pratice, but i am comfortable with it. Not with a bow, mind you.

But are there any good priced, cheap uprights, that could do me well until I can afford a better quality one?
I have to apply by February, so I need to get cracking. We have an EUB at my school, which I can access.

Any input would be appreciated.
Thank you,

Mark Wilson.

Hi Mark,
As you probably already know, the Newbie Links at the top of this forum are a great resource to give you the basic low-down on what's out there. A great idea is to meet your local bass luthier, and see what s/he carries, and play a few.
