Looking for a First double bass

Hey, i've decided i want an upright bass and am looking for a descent-good one so that i dont have to upgrade for a while

ive found this on ebay..... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Upright-Doghou...d=p3286.c0.m14 ...but i dont know if its any good or the rite size as i am about 6ft4

I wasn't referring at all to the particular bass mentioned by the OP in that thread. Rather, I was suggesting that you consult the newbie links, do a search of this site, and come back with specific questions. There's a wealth of information at your fingertips.
