looking at my first upright but......

i am looking at the dean pace 5 string electric upright. it's around $700 which is good seeing how it is my frist one. the thing is i want to use a bow with it sometime and it looks like it dosn't have a bridge that puts it at the angle that would make is possible to use one. i was hoping someone here can look at it or maybe knows something about it? because if i can't use a bow with it i am not going to buy it. also maybe you guys know one around that price that i can use one?

actially looking at it again looks like there is regular electric bass string on it rather then upright bass strings. they don't give much info on it.

Keep in mind that this axe isn't really in the same ballpark with an actual doublebass because of the string length: 35" as compared to anywhere between 41-43" for a regular scale DB. What this appears to be is a bodyless fretless slab that you play standing up. If you're looking for a real inroad into the feel of a DB, look for a real DB scale length.

Oh, and the EUB forum isn't open yet, but should be up and running by early January at the latest.
